Trondheimsveien 184 is one of the more well-known combination buildings in Oslo. With its unique location on the top of Sinsen district and distinctive design, is it in it selves a landmark. With the help of Omexom Norway EPC-team, the property is now one of the capital’s most energy-efficient buildings.
The owner of the building, Auris Property, has had to see that energy expenditure has increased by 71% over the past three years – for various reasons. Of course, they have a wish to do something about, and therefore contacted Omexom Norway’s EPC team. The EPC is briefly explained self-financing energy saving projects.
Trondheimsveien 184 was originally built as a garage which was later converted into offices on six floors, with parking spaces on two floors. As part of the building there is and a Shell gas station which also includes two washrooms. A total of 10,000 square meters is built. Through the project, Omexom Norway identified profitable measures, necessary improvements and investments that also include Omexom’s financial solution with a vesting period of seven years. Our offer also included upgrading the building’s indoor climate to the level set by the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority, a new top system and a rooftop solar cell system.
The project has received financial support from ENOVA and has a total cost, including funding of NOK 7,650,000, – and includes measures that, in total, replace all older light fixtures with new LED luminaires. The office zones will have upgraded ventilation systems with increased airflow and new opportunities for control, regulation and delivery of a good indoor climate. By simultaneously connecting and controlling heating and cooling systems and electric heat, the customer will be able to control the indoor climate in Trondheimsveien 184 in an optimal way. The crown of the project is a solar park of 142 m² located on the roof of the building.
