This years apprentices impressed Nordic managing director

Dominique Ferreira met apprentices at Jessheim Training Centre

This year, Omexom Norway has 8 new apprentices. Over the next 2.5 years, they will gain knowledge and expertise to be able to build the infrastructure of the future.

– You are important for the future, you are important to us. You are our future, we are counting on you, said manging director Dominique Ferreira, VINCI Energies Nordic Infra, when he recently met Omexom’s apprentices at the Training Center in Jessheim.

Omexom Norway is owned by VINCI Energies, which is part of the global VINCI group with approximately 235,000 employees in 116 countries.

– At VINCI Energies, connecting with young talented employees is a priority task. Few sectors are more exciting and in greater development than ours. And we offer everyone the opportunity to participate in professional networks across business units, companies, countries and continents. We believe in individual initiative and development. One of our values is «entrepreneurial spirit». We believe in the ability of each individual person – to take initiatives, calculate risk, see opportunities and through it achieve success. Young wise minds will be one of our most important driving forces, then we will of course give them all opportunities for professional development and broadening of skills. Preferably in collaboration with others in VINCI Energies – no matter where they work in the world. Sharing knowledge is a cornerstone with us, says Ferreira, who was impressed by the level of knowledge of this year’s apprentices.

Responsible for training and apprentices, Jørn-Yngve Jensen, says Ferreira’s visit is of great value.

– It is easy to say that you care, our Nordic managing director shows it in practice with physically meeting the apprentices – and through the fact that the focus on young people is not just words on a piece of paper, Jensen says.
